Christoph von Burgsdorff specializes in complex national and international litigation and arbitral proceedings in the areas of heavy industry and energy supply, plant engineering and construction, as well as commercial and corporate law. In such areas, Christoph von Burgsdorff advises both domestic and international clients.
Christoph von Burgsdorff was born in Lübeck in 1974. He studied law at the Universities of Kiel (Germany) and Surrey (England). After completing his Master of Laws in European Law (LL.M.) at the University of Essex (England), he received his doctorate at the University of Kiel (European Data Protection Law).
During his postgraduate legal training, he worked for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Allen & Overy. Since 2003, Christoph von Burgsdorff works as a dispute resolution lawyer in the Hamburg office of Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. In 2006, he went on secondment to an international English law firm in London. In 2007, Christoph von Burgsdorff also qualified as certified specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).
